The Sun, traveling through Sagittarius this month, calls us to expand more fully into our own lives, until it enters Capricorn on the 21st marking the Winter Solstice. Sagittarius energy is where we exist in our philosophical seats, the place from which we share what we have learned through deeply personal explorations. The full moon on the 12th in Gemini reminds us that it is through being open to life and to the differences in others that we come to embrace the very experiences through which we learn. The new moon on the 27th in Capricorn finds us quietly considering steps we can take in our personal lives to begin manifesting more fully our power in the world.
Venus enters Aquarius on the 7th, as we see the value in our individuality and in holding space for the uniqueness of others. Mars in Sagittarius squares Uranus in Pisces on the 11th, as forced-fed dogmas become indigestible. Mercury enters Capricorn on the 12th, and we speak the truth of our feelings with greater authority. Mars squares Saturn in Virgo on the 15th; we search for the boundaries we need to be able to express ourselves safely here. And Mars enters Capricorn the 27th, moving into a conjunction with Pluto. What could be better for humanity than for us each to align our energies and actions to transform the structured world we share into a place that is genuinely empowering for all souls? As Saturn turns retrograde in Virgo on the 31st (until May 16, 2009), we begin the process of personal refinement needed to accomplish the great things we see awaiting us on our shared horizon.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) — We have such a greater capacity to affect things than we realize. So, what better way to start your new year, Sag, than by contemplating your power? CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) — You have shown your courage, Capricorn. One of the great challenges in dwelling in a shared world is holding our center. But you have become clear anyway and this is something to honor within yourself. Your job is to take what has been revealed to you and go forth on your own behalf and work consciously with what you now know.
ARIES (March 21-April 19) — Too much movement without the right grounding is overwhelming to anyone, even to an Aries! You seek to strengthen the foundation you know you must have in order to support the size of your energy and strength. Placing your attention here, no matter what other forces are calling to you, is vital to your health and success overall.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20) — There most certainly is the larger metaphysical picture and you know this more strongly than ever before, Taurus. Now, your task is to turn back to your own very personal life and world and contemplate the meaning of that. How does your life serve your higher purpose?
