The exhibition took place at the Tubac, Ariz., Center for the Arts, and was juried by Katherine Chang Liu. "Away from Here," a multi-cultural exhibit of works by the TenOClockClub will be on display at Abraham's Bank Tower Restaurant, Wells Fargo Bank, Main Street, through September. Thinking of spending some summer hours stretching their outlook a bit, the six artists in the group looked beyond their normal subjects for this show. The TenOClockers are June Decker, Alice Dressler, Penny Duncklee (see April 2008), Jean Smith, Susan Rivera and Margaret Bernstein. The name resulted from each artist's commitment to stop normal life for 10 minutes a day at some semi-regular time and paint, draw or "muck about" with a visual arts medium.
